Tabby Callaghan

Tabby had a passion for music from the early age of five and has been writing his own material since the age of eight, so it was only natural that when he left Summerhill College at the age of 15 he would pursue his career in music, forming his first band “Petronella” in 1998.

Petronella had some success here in Ireland with their single “Feeling So Low” getting into the Irish top 20 singles chart.

When Petronella broke up, Tabby formed a new band called “Boom” which was soon to be re-named “DZ5“.

DZ5 auditioned for the ITV talent show The X Factor, however the judges thought Tabby should audition as a solo artist, as a result of which he went through to the next round of the competition, going on to be a semi-finalist in the competition.

After The X Factor, Tabby released his first solo single “Number One” which shot straight to number 7 in the Irish charts.

Tabby”s second solo single “Take A Swing” was released in 2006 to coincide with a series of UK concert which was followed by the release of his first album.

Tabby has played in Liverpool‘s world famous Cavern Club where The Beatles career was launched.
